Good News Story – Clar ICH

Clar ICH is responsible for the Communication Work Package and have produced an identifiable HANDIHEAT logo, promotional materials such as brochures, e-zines and pop-up stands. Clar ICH continue to work with HANDIHEAT partners to manage and maintain the HANDIHEAT’s website www.handiheatproject.eu as well as social media sites. Clar ICH works across all work packages and have recently collaborated with The Electric Storage Company, an Associate Partner of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to pilot and install storage battery units for fuel poor homes in the West of Ireland. As part of the HANDIHEAT project Clar ICH had the opportunity to visit demonstration sites and fuel poor homes in Northern Ireland who has the system installed and it is hopes that the data generated will assist in rural communities becoming more energy sufficient and resilient. As a Voluntary Housing Association Clar ICH’s participation in SEAI’s Better Energy Communities Programme, Ireland’s National Retrofitting Programme is being presented as a Best Practice for Handiheat. Clar ICH has captured the impact of this scheme in addressing fuel poverty and stimulating employment opportunities in a rural area on a video clip presented on Handiheat’s Website www.handiheatproject.eu.. Clar ICH will work across all packages with HANDIHEAT in the collection and dissemination of data to key stakeholders and the public at large.
